Hua Sports Marathon
About the Hua Sports Marathon
The Hua Sports Marathon is organized by Hua Sports, a nonprofit organization representing the Chinese running community in the greater Washington, D.C. region. The event is known for its exceptional hospitality, dedicated volunteers, and comprehensive race-day support. Participants can choose from three distances—5K, half marathon, and marathon—making it an inclusive event for runners of all levels.
Course Overview
The race takes place along the scenic C&O Canal Towpath, starting and finishing in Point of Rocks, Maryland. This out-and-back course follows the Potomac River on a wide, semi-paved gravel path that is predominantly flat and tree-shaded, offering ideal conditions for fast times and a comfortable running experience. The event is USATF-sanctioned and run on USATF-certified courses, and the marathon distance may be used as a Boston Marathon qualifier.
