Ya Ji

Ya Ji serves as Board Chair of Hua Sports, bringing over 25 years of project management experience in the IT industry, along with extensive experience in nonprofit organizations. He combines strategic planning, execution, and community engagement to develop and deliver a wide range of sports programs and events for the organization.

As Chair, Ya is committed to leveraging his organizational management and team leadership skills to support the board in organizing activities and races throughout the DMV region. He is dedicated to sharing his sports related experience to strengthen running events, foster community participation, and support the continued growth of Hua Sports.

Ya Ji co-founded Hua Sports and served as the organization’s most recent President in 2025.

An experienced runner, Ya has completed dozens of races, including Abbott World Marathon Majors, half marathons, and shorter-distance events. As a team captain, he has led teams in multiple road and trail relays, including Ragnar, Hood to Coast (HTC), and the Blue Ridge Relay (BRR). The Ragnar team won the Best Team award at the Ragnar Richmond Trail in 2022.
